The Survivors & Their Stories
ROBY NICHOLS: MULTIPLE MYELOMA
"I am a living testimony."
Roby Nichols never imagined that an accidental injury would uncover a life-altering diagnosis — Multiple Myeloma. A man once described as strong as an ox and healthy as a horse, Roby found himself on a journey that required deep faith and total surrender to God’s promises.
Through chemotherapy and radiation, Roby experienced God's grace in remarkable ways. While many suffer harsh side effects, he was spared much of that pain. Though the treatment led to neuropathy, God has been with him every step. Roby went from being wheelchair-bound… to walking with a cane! 🙌🏽
Today, he walks in remission — and walks in faith. His life is a testament to healing, perseverance, and the unfailing power of God.

CAROL DAVIS : BREAST CANCER
“GOD IS…”
This is the motto I’ve learned to stand on during this journey. This isn’t a journey you can conquer or control without GOD!
Being diagnosed with breast cancer or any illness is something you can’t prepare yourself for — BUT GOD IS!!!
In this season and within this year, I’ve learned exactly what it means to lean and depend on your faith. From the beginning, FAITH, friends and family have given me the strength to press forward.
Everyday is a LET’S GO GOD DAY! I’m not allowing my life to be defined by this diagnosis! I am MORE THAN A CONQUEROR. I’m trusting God every step of the way, and this is what God continues to reveal to me:
“Even though I WALK through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and staff they comfort me.” – Psalm 23:4
The message — KEEP WALKING!!
ROBERT SOUTHGATE: PROSTATE CANCER
The day I received my diagnosis of cancer was the day I decided to become a cancer survivor. I put my faith in God and I had family friends, church members and some coworkers pray for me and send nothing but positive vibes. Although there were some tough days and some moments of doubt, I quickly as possible changed it to something positive and just say Lord carry me through. And he did! It was a whole process for me and I had to learn to just follow through with the entire process. I still have a little bit ago, but I’m claiming today that I am but my God Almighty amen.
